Vogue Festival 2016
In our post NFW withdrawal the Fash Pack made their way to The Vogue Festival 2016 to immerse themselves in all things fabulous fashion. Hosted at the Royal Geographic Society London the annual Vogue Festival was a riot of colour, style and inspiration – celebrating 100 years of the leading fashion tomb.
We arrived just after lunch and the Vogue World tent gave us a whole host of tantalising distractions to keep us entertained until our chosen talk began. From Bobbi Brown makeovers, a Kerastase braid bar and the Vogue cover photo booth (we couldn’t resist!) – there was something for every fashion lover. Lucinda Chambers lead the way dishing out top styling tips – if we ever make it to the French Riviera we know exactly how to pull together the chicest of capsule travel wardrobes!
We were lucky enough to secure tickets to the The Style Clinic hosted by contributing Vogue Editor Alexa Chung. Joined by Derek Blasberg (Vanity Fair Editor and bestselling author) and Lauren Santo Domingo (entrepeneur and co-founder of Moda Operandi) Alexa and the panel shared their thoughts, observations and experiences of the way we live and dress. It was fantastic to hear their insight into the challenges and issues facing fashion today – from ethical limitations, social changes and digital opportunities.
Alexa was quite frankly a delight, just as warm and witty as you’d hope. She spoke of her music based style influences and her love of The Rolling Stones – which was echoed in her sartorial suit choice for the day – what else but Gucci? Envy inducing indeed!
We came away giddy with inspiration – our heads buzzing with ideas for NFW 2017…
