The Face of NFW13 in the final 15 of Britain’s Next Top Model
The winner of the Face of Norwich Fashion Week 2013, Georgia Butler has been selected from thousands to reach the final 15 of reality television show Britain’s Next Top Model (BNTM).
Georgia Butler, 19, of Drayton, filmed the new series of the hit show over four weeks in September and October, and the show is set to air from January 14.
“I found out that I had made it through the preliminary round while I was on holiday and while the other models got to meet each other for the final audition, I did mine via Skype,” says Georgia. “I didn’t think that I had made the show!”
Georgia was the Face of Norwich Fashion Week 2013 and her work since winning the accolade has included campaigns for intu Chapelfield, Clearasil and Ice-Watch.
“Norwich Fashion Week certainly helped me gain experience of modelling on a catwalk and on fashion shoots,” says Georgia. “At last year’s Norwich Fashion Week I had some of my designs take to the catwalk as part of Norwich City College’s Cocoon collection which was part of my studies in fashion and textiles, so I’ve seen both sides of the industry.”
The competition to find the male and female face of Norwich Fashion Week 2016 is hotting up. To be in with a chance to win and to walk the catwalks at Norwich Fashion Week in March, aspiring models are being asked to email a head shot and full length image to Norwich and London modelling agency Sandra Reynolds by Feb 10.
This is the second time that a Norwich Fashion Week model has appeared on BNTM. Amy Woodman made it to the eighth episode in series seven which aired in 2011 and is now modelling for London and Paris Fashion Weeks and is signed to London model agency Oxygen.
Said Georgia: “I just hope that once the show airs I get lots of opportunities from this. Modelling can seem like an unrealistic ambition, such as wanting to become a pop star, but I know that I have what it takes to succeed.”
Britain’s Next Top Model airs on January 14 on Lifetime (Sky 156, Virgin 208, TalkTalk 329 and BT 329).
The NFW16 model competition is open to those over the age of 16. There is a minimum height requirement with men needing to be over 5’11” and women over 5’7”. But apart from that, you simply need to be body confident at any size.
The chosen male and female winners will be given the opportunity to be a part of the professional modelling environment at NFW. Take a look at our gallery for a snapshot of previous shows and for a sneak peek at past model appearances.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the new star of NFW16 simply email two pictures to email@example.com to be in with a chance of winning. Your entry images need to include one close-up headshot with a smile and one full-length shot. Please also include your age, height, address and telephone number, and state if you have any previous catwalk experience.
